Hi, I’m Michelle and I founded Ad Hoc Personal Assistant in March 2019. My ‘why’ is quite simple “to create a happier, healthier work life balance for myself and my young family.” My mission is to help my clients achieve the same balance, save time and become more productive, because life shouldn’t be a struggle. We all deserve the freedom to do more of what we love, and love what we do in our business.
With over 20 years experience working as a Personal Assistant I consider myself a traditional Business Support Administrator with a background working as an Executive Assistant for Chairs, Directors and Senior Management Teams within the private sector, local government and charitable trusts.
I specialise in the personal style of PA support by providing reliable and confidential admin services, event and travel scheduling, accommodation bookings, diary and email management, minute taking, research and typing.
In the last decade I have built experience using and administrating various popular social media and digital platforms. I regularly work on WordPress for updating and editing existing websites, use Mailchimp for creating newsletters and e-bulletins, utilise Survey Monkey for generating customer insights and feedback.
I have an extensive knowledge of various Microsoft Office applications such as Word for document creation, Powerpoint for presentations, Excel which can be used for a whole range of applications bringing data together for financial accounting, creating spreadsheets, tables, calculations, charts and graphs to identify trends and better inform your business.
In today’s world we have access to a wide range of productivity tools and software which can help automate systems and processes to save time and reduce workload. I am well experienced at implementing new digital technology to make modern life easier and more efficient.
I have a creative background with a bachelor’s degree in ‘Contemporary Applied Art’ I started my working life as a ceramicist before spending almost 10 years working in the museum and art gallery sector as a personal assistant, this evoked a special interest in history, culture and heritage.
Nowadays I take pleasure in organising events, workshops, exhibitions or simply lightening the administrative burden so creative business owners and entrepreneurs can concentrate on their profession.
In my spare time I am enjoying life in Cumbria and the Lake District, tinkering around in my garden and studio, attending workshops and evening classes to develop my interest in arts and crafts but most importantly making memories with my family.
I became an approved member of the Society of Virtual Assistants in May 2019, which aims to raise awareness, promoting best practice and supporting the UK Virtual Assistant industry. To find out more visit www.societyofvirtualassistants.co.uk
I recognise the importance of protecting my clients data. I have attended GDPR workshops to learn about Data Protection and how it affects my business and the clients I work for.
From the onset I have been registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s independent body which has been set up to uphold information rights in the public interest, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals.
Ad Hoc PA’s ICO registration number is ZA517470.
